Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge 2013 comes from one of the most famous estates in the southern Rhône, owned by the Perrin family since 1909. Known for their commitment to organic and biodynamic farming, the Perrins have built Beaucastel into a benchmark estate, respected worldwide for producing some of the most age-worthy wines of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

Beaucastel is unusual in that it includes all 13 permitted grape varieties of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, with a strong emphasis on Mourvèdre, which adds structure, depth, and complexity. The vineyard’s galets roulés (rounded stones) help regulate temperature, ensuring even ripening of the grapes.

The 2013 vintage in the southern Rhône was cooler and later than average, producing wines with freshness, moderate alcohol, and aromatic complexity. This wine shows aromas of dark cherry, plum, and blackberry, with layers of garrigue herbs, leather, and spice. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, refined, and elegant, with supple tannins and a savory finish.

Approachable now, this wine also has aging potential of 12–15 years, offering further evolution of its earthy, gamey, and truffle notes over time.

A true expression of Châteauneuf-du-Pape tradition, Château de Beaucastel 2013 pairs beautifully with lamb, game, or slow-cooked stews.
