Álvaro Palacios Camins del Priorat 2024 brings together Garnacha, Cariñena, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with a small proportion of traditional white varieties from vineyards across Priorat.
Ripe blackberry, plum and red berries are joined by dried herbs, lavender, cocoa and gentle spice. The palate is generous but fresh, with fine tannins and the distinctive mineral character associated with Priorat’s llicorella slate soils.
The cooler nights of the 2024 growing season helped preserve freshness and gave the wine more structure than some recent vintages. Garnacha provides ripe fruit and warmth, while Cariñena and Syrah add savory character, spice and additional depth.
Camins del Priorat is an excellent introduction to Álvaro Palacios and to Priorat itself, offering the region’s concentration and mineral character in a style that can be enjoyed without extended cellaring.
Food Pairing: Pair with grilled lamb, roast pork, duck, sausages, mushroom dishes, meatballs, braised meats, or aged Manchego.
Serve around 58–62°F. A short 20–30 minute decant will help the fruit, herbs and spice open.
