G.D. Vajra is one of Barolo's most respected family estates, farming their vineyards in Vergne with deep respect for tradition — hand-harvested Nebbiolo, long maceration, and 36 months aging in large Slavonian oak. The 2022 Albe marks the 50th vintage of this cuvée, a milestone for one of the Langhe's most consistent producers.

Garnet with a lively core. Fresh crushed flowers, bright cherry, rose petal, spice, tobacco, and orange peel. The palate is vibrant and medium-bodied with fine, velvety tannins and a long finish. 93 points Jeb Dunnuck. Accessible now and will drink beautifully through the decade.

Pair with braised short rib, lamb, aged Parmigiano, or wild mushroom risotto.
