Suigei Tokubetsu Junmai is brewed by Suigei Shuzo in Kochi Prefecture, a region known for dry, clean sake designed to complement food.
The aroma is intentionally restrained, with subtle notes of steamed rice, light citrus and mineral character. On the palate, gentle rice umami is balanced by lively acidity and a crisp, dry finish.
This is not an aromatic or fruit-driven style of sake. Its strength is its balance and versatility at the table. The acidity refreshes the palate between bites, while the moderate umami gives it enough flavor to work with a wide range of dishes.
Serving Temperature: Enjoy chilled around 45–50°F for a fresher, cleaner expression. It can also be served slightly warm, around 105–115°F, which brings forward more of the rice character and umami.
Food Pairing: Pair with sashimi, sushi, tempura, grilled fish, yakitori, pork, fried foods, mushrooms, or simply prepared Japanese dishes.
