Dal Forno Romano is well known for its Amarone della Valpolicella. Established in 1983, the winery is situated in the Valley of Illasi, a valley to the east of Verona. The vineyard is planted with Corvina, Rondinella, Croatina and Oseleta grape varieties on gravel, silt and clay soil.

The Valpolicella Superiore is a dense and concentrated wine, produced using a partial appassimento method. Expect intense aromas of black cherry, plum, licorice, and dark chocolate, along with hints of tobacco and dried herbs. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, with firm tannins and bright acidity that balance the richness of the dried fruit character. The finish is long and layered, showing both power and finesse. Best decanted for at least one hour.
