Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs 2014 is one of the great Chardonnay-based prestige cuvées of Champagne, produced exclusively from Grand Cru vineyards in the Côte des Blancs.

The wine shows remarkable precision, beginning with lemon, white peach and crisp orchard fruit, followed by white flowers, chalk, almond and subtle brioche. With time in the glass, delicate pastry and herbal notes emerge, adding complexity without diminishing the wine’s freshness.

The palate is taut and crystalline, with very fine bubbles, vibrant acidity and a distinctly chalky, saline character. Extended lees aging brings depth and texture, yet the 2014 remains impressively youthful and energetic.

This vintage is especially compelling for its balance of finesse and structure. It is already expressive enough to enjoy now, but its acidity, mineral backbone and concentration give it excellent long-term aging potential.

Food Pairing: Pair with oysters, lobster, scallops, turbot, sole meunière, caviar, foie gras, aged Parmesan, or refined poultry dishes.

Serve around 50–52°F in a tulip-shaped Champagne glass or white-wine glass.
