Bruno Desaunay-Bissey Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Beaux-Monts 2023 comes from a small old-vine parcel in one of Vosne-Romanée’s most respected Premier Cru vineyards.

The wine is pure Pinot Noir, with an aromatic profile centered on red cherry, wild strawberry and raspberry, followed by rose petal, subtle spice, forest floor and a fine mineral character.

The palate is elegant rather than heavy, combining ripe red fruit with fine tannins, fresh acidity and the silky texture associated with Vosne-Romanée. A gentle savory and stony character develops through the finish, adding depth without taking away from the wine’s perfume.

Les Beaux-Monts is particularly admired for combining the fragrance of Vosne with structure and mineral definition, and this 2023 shows that balance beautifully.

Food Pairing: Pair with roast duck, veal, guinea fowl, mushroom dishes, beef tenderloin, or game birds.

Serve around 58–62°F. If drinking young, give it approximately 45–60 minutes of air in a decanter or large Burgundy glass.
