2011 was the earliest harvest at Mouton in 40 years — warm and dry, producing a wine with a different personality than the powerhouse vintages flanking it. Sweet spices, ripe dark fruit, graphite, and gravelly minerality on the nose. Elegant and light on its feet with silky tannins, lively acidity, and a long, refined finish. Classic Mouton character at a more accessible moment.
