Pleasant surprise, I knew Cabernet Franc only as a minor component in traditional Bordeaux blends and others. Experiencing it as a primary varietal was unexpectedly delightful. Compared to Cabernet Sauvignon, it offers a more delicate structure while preserving the grape's distinctive flavor characteristics.
