Champagne Fleur de Miraval Exclusivement Rosé 5, known as ER5, is the fifth edition of the house’s flagship rosé Champagne and one of its most ambitious releases to date.
The blend brings together Pinot Noir from Vertus Premier Cru with Chardonnay from a perpetual reserve extending back to 2007 and older Blanc de Blancs Champagnes from the 1998 and 2010 vintages. In total, fifteen different vintages contribute to the final wine.
White peach, pomelo and candied citrus are joined by summer flowers, brioche, toasted hazelnut and subtle smoky notes. The palate is remarkably precise, with fine bubbles, layers of white fruit and citrus, fresh almond, delicate spice and a long saline finish.
What makes ER5 particularly distinctive is the complexity of its reserve-wine program. The combination of perpetual reserve and the house’s unusual Remise en Cercle process creates depth and maturity while the infusion rosé of Pinot Noir provides freshness, color and tension.
Despite its complexity, the wine remains energetic rather than heavy, making this a rosé Champagne defined as much by precision and minerality as by richness.
Food Pairing: Pair with caviar, hamachi, lobster, halibut, scallops, turbot, foie gras, roast poultry, or refined dishes incorporating nuts and subtle spice.
Serve around 48–52°F in a tulip-shaped Champagne or white-wine glass.
