The palate has the structure expected from Pauillac, but the tannins are polished and finely textured, giving the wine a surprisingly supple feel beneath its dark fruit.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eCabernet Sauvignon provides the backbone and classic cassis character, while the relatively generous proportion of Merlot adds flesh and roundness through the mid-palate.
