Abe Shuzo, located in Niigata, underwent a revival when the 6th-generation ABE, the current Toji, took over the brewery in 2015. Mr. Yuta Abe and his highly enthusiastic team place a strong emphasis on flavor and prioritize it over efficiency, with the guiding principle of "Enjoy Fermentation." ABE Junmai displays a striking umami flavor at the start, accompanied by melon notes, and finishes with a grapefruit-like bitterness. A standard junmai sake in the Abe series. This sake has a good balance of rice flavor and acidity. -
The only white wine made by the Fernández family, Alejairén draws its name from the combination of its creator Alejandro and its grape variety Airén. Alejairén Crianza 2020 has an intense straw-yellow color. Clean and brilliant. On the nose it has balsamic and toasted notes, gentle hints of stone fruit and attractive touches of anise and lantana. On the palate the wine has a full, smooth mouth-feel but very fresh. A delicious lingering finish with notes of roasted almonds and stone fruit coming through. -

Inspired by the historical winemaking techniques of Erni Loosen’s great-grandfather, the Appassionata Riesling GG is made in the same way as the Dr. Loosen Grosses Gewächs (“Great Growth”) Rieslings he produces in Germany. The GG designation indicates a dry-style wine from a vineyard of special distinction — in this case, the old-vine Medici vineyard, planted in 1976. We farm this exceptional site, which is just a few miles east on the Chehalem Mountain ridge. The wine is fermented in a 3,000-liter, neutral oak German Fuder cask. It rests on the full lees for two years, and is then held in bottle for three to five years before release. -

Yamagata is the first to implement Geographic Indication (GI). Sawane is currently in review process. The Gokujo has already been approved. Sawane means harmoniously brewed in Yamagata.Using locally developed Dewanosato rice and Yamagata Ginjo yeast, Sawane opens with a bright and fruity aroma of fresh pear and finishes with a crisp but fruity finish. The plot "La Mazière" stands north of the village, along the Route des Grands Crus and spreads over 2.2 hectares. Its name comes from the latin word MACERIA that refers to an enclosure wall made in dry masonry and to some extent, also refers to the ruins of stone houses. Bouchard Aine & Fils Fixin La Maziere 2020 has an elegant ruby red color. On the nose the wine has a very charming bouquet dominated by little fruits aromas : such as black cherry, blackberry and blueberry. -
